| Tips for Buying Used PS2 Games |
|
|
I gave my son a PlayStation2 system for his 10th birthday. As a result,
he became something of a video game whiz and goes through titles in a
short period of time.
I make sure that he can only play with his
PlayStation2 when all his homework and chores are done, but he still
manages to master a game in a couple of weeks or less. I've been trying
to buy used PS2 games whenever possible because it has now gotten
expensive to keep up with my son's skills.
Used PS2 games, especially the latest and most popular titles, were hard to come by a few years ago. It’s not difficult to find a game that is a year old but used PS2 games that were recently released are quite rare.
You have to go to a lot of different stores, put your name on waiting lists, and hope that one of these stores would call back soon. Nevertheless, finding those games used to be difficult, so my son had to either borrow or rent the titles he wanted.
Fortunately, you can now find used PS2 games. There are four stores in my area that specialize in reselling used PS2 games in mint condition. This means that I always have a great chance of finding the titles that my son wants the most.
There are also other options if the used PS2 games that I'm looking for are not available at these shops. There are also plenty of websites and online auction sites that have a large inventory of used PS2 games on hand.
There’s no sense in ordering from a website just to save a dollar or two, but occasionally these used PS2 games go on sale on websites for almost 20 percent less than what you have to pay in stores. That's a deal that you can't pass up!
Purchasing used PS2 games is a great cost-effective alternative to spending $50 or more on the most popular titles of the season. Consider buying used PS2 games instead of new ones if you want to save money on your video game habit. |
